agreement with China triggers concerns
You might have
seen hundreds of students and protesters stormed the government headquarters and
occupied them in protest at a bill that will bring closer trade ties with
China. Why they are opposing so fiercely against a trade deal that could
benefit more to the small island country than the huge mainland?
After what happened
in Crimea, more people in Taiwan seem to become more afraid to increase
dependency on the neighboring dragon, which intention is clearly officially and
internationally reunify the two, or annex the island.
