Dear MEL School’s Topic Readers,
In historic first, gay marriage is approved by popular vote in Maine, Maryland.
While not only the US citizens but also the world were paying close attention to the presidential election result, there had been another historic voting took place on the election day, which was to ask the voters whether to legalize gay marriage within their states, Maine and Maryland.
There was another historic election result was produced on the Election Day, to elect a senator in Wisconsin, who admitted openly that she is a gay.
44 years after Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968, the status of gay seems to be more acknowledged and supported by the majority of the voters in certain states in America.
Enjoy reading and learning about how Americans view and acknoledge bisexual partnerships.
