Dear MEL School’s Topic Readers,
Watch the National
Zoo’s baby panda romp in snow for the first time
Though the cub was born in the other side
of the globe, it still seems to enjoy things that are natural to the place of
its origin. A baby giant panda in Washington DC has seen and played in snow for
the first time. It is one of the three giant pandas that are adored by visitors
at Smithsonian Zoo in the nation’s capital where efforts are being made by zoo
keepers and zoologists to save this endangered species from extinct. There are only
1,600 or so giant pandas living today.
Enjoy seeing the video footage of this
adorable creature playing in the snow.
