PLA enlists
rap-style music video to recruit young people
People’s
Liberation Army, or PLA. is China’s military. Even while the economy is slowing
down and the unemployment ratio new college graduates goes over 20%, they are
striving to recruit young talents. Under the long-standing one-child policy,
Chinese youths don’t seem to incline to take labor-intensive jobs, especially
military.
That’s why the
hard-line muscular organization came up with a rap-style music video to recruit
young people, particularly educated ones.
Whether a
single video, which is no more exciting or attracting when it compared with
other private organizations’ recruiting videos, will draw attention from the
young remains to be seen.
