Yes, not the U.S. or Russia, but People's Republic of China, has launched its third manned rocket to orbit and dock their space station for the first time.
Is the country developed or developing? It's still one of those G-20 states but no G-7 or 8. It exhaust more carbon emission gasses, sells more new vehicles and mobile phones than any other country in the world and spends more money on its military only after the U.S. in the world.
And unlike NASA in the U.S., this space mission is part of their military projects.
