The National Spelling Bee is a national competition in the U.S. where contestants, usually children, are asked to spell English words.
This year, a fourteen-year old Indian American girl won the prominent title, which no longer is any surprise as Indian American contestants have won ten out of the last 14 competitions and this is the fifth straight year. This smart and dedicated girl has been studying six to ten hours on weekdays and nearly half a day on weekends and she seems to continue doing so to study at a medical school.
