Malaria vaccine shows early promise in
clinical trials.
How much do you know about Malaria, a fatal
mosquito-borne infectious disease of humans and other animals that is
transmitted via a bite from an infected female mosquito. According to the World
Health Organization, or W.H.O., there were an estimated 219 million cases of the
disease in 2010 and an estimated 660,000 deaths by the disease.
Although it has been known that a good
immunity could be built up with substantial level of infected mosquito bites like
over 1,000 times over time, the method doesn’t seem to be practical to apply to
many.
Enjoy reading and learning about how researchers
have come up with a potential and practical vaccine development against this
fatal disease.
