Sushi is one of the most popular Japanese food. It is basically raw, salted, or fermented seafood and rice. There are several types. It is also served as an alternative version of Nigiri at sushi restaurants mainly for lunch. Rolled sushi, which is usually wrapped in seaweed, is popular, especially for lunch and outings. Nigiri is hand-pressed sushi topped with various kinds of seafood, such as tuna, salmon, mackerel, shellfish, and squid. Nigiri is a delicacy and is usually eaten at a sushi restaurant, though packed, assorted Nigiri sushi is also sold at supermarkets. It requires skills and experience to create the perfect harmony of the fish and rice. It also is such a delicate food that it should be eaten in a proper manner.
