Beijing set to welcome visa-free visitors.
Now, China isn’t only exporting things to the world to
expand its trade surplus but is also trying to invite more tourists to increase
service revenues though the newly announced visa waiver program applies to visitors
only to Beijing for three days from 45 selected countries including Japan.
How much and what those visitors can do within 72 hours in
Beijing and how many foreigners are attracted to take advantage of this program
are still yet to see, but hopes seem to be high among the airport and tourism
officials.
