Dear MEL School’s Topic Readers,
China's first
tourism law comes into effect, tourists issued manners guides
The rising dragon has
already outnumbered any other country in numbers of areas. The number cars
sold, mobile phones users and tourists, not to mention the population. Chinese
as a whole also produces more greenhouse gasses, consumes more pork, drinks
more beer and spends more money abroad.
But there seem to
be some worries. The tourism ministry had to issue guidelines to their outbound
travelers to respect the local cultures and manners of other countries and present
good image of Chinese travelers, including not picking noses, spitting and even
urinating in public places.
Enjoy reading and
learning what China’s ministry of tourism is concerned about.
