Dear MEL School’s Topic Readers,
Stagnant 2013 SAT®
Results are Call to Action for the College Board.
After reading
about the disparity in SAT test scores among races in last Topic Reading, aren’t
you interested in learning more about the test and its organizer?
The SAT is a
college entrance exam. It is used in the admission process to most of the colleges
and universities in the USA. Its data shows how well the test takers might do
in higher education. It is conducted by College Board, a not-for-profit
organization, whose aim is to expand access to higher education for students.
The board thinks 2013 SAT results stagnant and is calling for actions to
improve academic performance in high school education and readiness for higher
education.
Enjoy reading and
learning about what the test is about, how well today’s American students are performing
in the test, and what the organizer is concerned about the test results.
