India's Hindu Kumbh Mela festival begins in Allahabad.
What do you think is the biggest gathering of humanity on
Earth nowadays?
For this once-every-12-year Hindu festival, as many as 100
million people are expected to gather to wash their sins. To accommodate this many
pilgrims in a 55-day period, fourteen temporary hospitals have been set up with
243 doctors deployed round-the-clock, and more than 40,000 toilets have been
built.
But what if such many sins are washed in the river as it’s
believed, what happened to the water down the river?
Enjoy reading and learning about this historical Hindu event.
