China to outstrip Europe car production.
Four decades ago, nearly one in every two vehicles sold in
the world was made in the factories located in Europe, where the industry
originated back in 1885. Last year, it produced nearly 19 million cars and
light trucks and maintained its number one position, with a gap of million cars
from the second biggest producer, China. This year, despite its slight growth
projection, the number one position is going to be taken by the biggest car
market, where numbers of small and economy cars are being sold and competition
has been and is going to be very fierce.
Enjoy reading and learning about the shift in the manufacturing
locations of one of the most biggest and influential industries.
