Dear MEL School's Topic Readers,MIT and Harvard announce edX: Joint venture builds on MITx and Harvard distance learning; aims to benefit campus-based education and beyond.
This announcement was made by Harvard University which had agreed to co-fund and co-work with MIT, its rival neighboring university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to launch an online learning courses of the two prominent universities at free of charge, for anyone and from anywhere in the world.
Although no diploma is offered through the courses, learners can get a course certificate should he or she completes a course.
