How giant tunnels protect Tokyo from flood threat.
By now, the worst part of the devastated are of New York and New Jersey by Sandy would have been taken care, though it would still a take long time to bring things back to a durable level such as transportation, utilities, public facilities and private homes.
There is a huge underground tunnel to discharge water to protect metro Tokyo from flooding, which hasn’t been paid so much attention as it doesn’t do anything at normal times.
