glass-bridge to open in Chongqing
Another world
record by China. This time, it’s a bridge that extends well beyond its vertical
support above 718 above the ground, and is also transparent. China claims the
glass bridge is longer than the Grand
Canyon Skywalk.
They are fast at
constructing infrastructures such as high speed railway system, auto highways, and
cross-sea and cross-river bridges, which are all longer than the ones of any
other country. It took only a year to project and construct this 35-million-yuan,
or $5.6-million, bridge for tourists.
